The main difference between a natural diamond and a lab diamond is how they're created. A mined diamond is formed naturally from high temperatures and pressures beneath the Earth's crust, while lab created diamonds are grown from tiny carbon seeds of existing diamonds using advanced technological processes that mimic the natural method of diamond formation. Lab diamonds can only be distinguished from natural diamonds using specialized equipment that can detect the minor differences in trace elements and crystal growth.
